Roberto started his career in the Pharmaceutical industry in 1992 when he joined Welcome (later Glaxo Welcome) in Mexico as a recent graduate.

Since then, he has worked in GSK and other big Pharma companies, as well as finished product and API CMOs and in the last few years in the logistics and supply chain part of the industry. Roberto’s various roles in the industry have always been in quality related functions including QC, QA and Regulatory Affairs.

Most recently he acted as Regulatory Compliance & Risk Director for the EMEA region with DHL Life Sciences. He has acted on numerous Wholesale Distribution Authorisations (WDAs) as RP for DHL and is currently an approved, registered RP with the MHRA.

Roberto graduated with an additional degree in BSc. Engineering Product Design in 2002 at London South Bank University, widening his skills in the complete life cycle of a product from development and manufacturing to marketing and supply.

With his vast knowledge and experience within the industry in the UK, EU and Latin America, Roberto Azcuaga recently founded Vita Scientiis Ltd which aims to support the pharmaceutical industry and its key partners with services that help them achieve and maintain regulatory compliance.

Roberto is proud to join PLS Pharma, working as a contract RP and in the areas of Quality/Compliance, Risk Management, Consulting and Training.  He has known Ciarán for many years and is looking forward to working with the team in PLS Pharma and their valued clients.
